Guilty Pleasures...
..decent show on Radio 6 on this topic this afternoon - the songs vary from boney M to rainbow to alessi to the jam!

Libertines came up - there's so many reasons I shouldnt like them from greasy stinky doherty to the nursery rhyme lyrics to the same-tune-rehashed a million times; but in the round, I have to give it to them- and can see why they have such a following

Like a current version of The Cure ;-)

I use Buffy the Vampire Slayer to teach philosophy. Its very good.

"The Body" (apart from breaking my heart) brings up the idea of what is reality and leads eventually to Rene Descartes
"Tabula Rasa" Explores the limits of empiricism and sets us up for Locke and Hume.

Reading about Girls Aloud, I saw them support Coldplay at Wembley an I really enjoyed them. They can really sing. The ginger one (Nicola?) sings a lot but doesn't get as much camera time as the others. Guilty.

Watching "gamecasts" of the Starcraft video game. My friend watched them every day at lunch a few years back and got me to as well. I don't even play the game.

For the nostalgia factor lately I've been watching reviews of old Super Nintendo games. If it wasn't so expensive I'd consider getting one.

Yeah, but I like Girls Aloud for the production work of Xenomania. That said, Kimberley Walsh. Guilty!

Again, nothing guilty about the ALESSI twins

Although the one who married Paul ROBINSON had a slightly wonky mouth
